Much More Than Running

Despite the fact that I did not attend the school where Coach Sean Fairchild worked, he allowed me to train with his Cross Country team. From the beginning in my freshman year through my senior year, this experience was truly the highlight of my high school career. During some truly challenging times in my life, Coach Fairchild consistently went out of his way to make sure I was included and felt like part of the team community. When I think back on my high school years, I realize that I learned far more important lessons from Coach Fairchild than simply running. I will ways be deeply grateful to Coach Fairchild for the kindness he modelled for myself and his team.
