The idea for “I believe in teachers” came suddenly during a spin class in 2011...

Ready for an intense spin workout, the entire class groaned when a substitute teacher was announced. The instructor turned out to be a frequent participant in the class and a teacher at a local high school. With this new information, the general consensus shifted to: “This will be fine - I believe in teachers.” The ring of those four words, “I believe in teachers, led to a resolve to do something to give back to teachers.

And so began the evolution of the I believe in teachers website. Pausing only to manage homes full of children, family life and professional careers in education. All of this while observing the state of education as both parents and professionals. We decided to circle back just as our nests emptied and it was time to recommit our support to teachers.

Teaching is an extremely demanding profession on the best of days. We owe it to teachers to believe in them and support them at every turn. Sharing positive teacher memories will help us sustain our mission to cherish the individuals who choose to teach. Our hope is others will follow suit and show teachers that their efforts are noticed, appreciated, and remembered as well.

Many thanks in advance for joining us to motivate, support and inspire teachers!

Teaching is not a lost art, but the regard for it is a lost tradition.
